Estate of Emma Agnes Sellars Charitable Trust

This charitable trust was established in 1992 through the will of Emma Agnes Sellars of Invercargill. The trust gives grants for the charitable purpose of relief of poverty in Southland District of New Zealand.

The trust offers grants every two years, being 2025, 2027, 2029 etc.

Southland District

For the purposes of the trust, the Southland district is defined as the majority of the land area of the Southland Region. This includes Wallace County, Winton Borough, Stewart Island County and most of Southland County. It also includes the islands of South Foveaux Strait – Solander Islands, Stewart Island/Rakiura and Ruapuke Island.

Funding Criteria

To be considered for grants, the applicants project must:

• Be directed at people who are poor, in need, aged, or suffering genuine hardship.

• Provide relief.

Individuals, sports organisations and service clubs are not eligible to apply to the trust.  The trust does not fund overseas projects.
