Louisa and Patrick Emmett Murphy Foundation
Louisa and Patrick Emmett Murphy Foundation
The Foundation was established to provide for the benefit of charitable organisations within New Zealand. The Settlor’s intention was to support a range of charitable causes predominantly in the Auckland area (as defined by the Auckland Super City boundaries – broadly from Wellsford to Pukekohe). To be eligible, organisations must benefit people within the Auckland area by:
Providing assistance and care for terminally ill people in our community.
Improving the quality of life for our older people in our community.
Providing assistance and care for people suffering from illness in our community.
The minimum grant is now $10,000 and maximum is now $30,000.
The Louisa and Patrick Emmett Murphy Foundation is a registered Charity under the Charities Act 2005, Registration No. CC27048.
Funding Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to apply for funding from the Foundation, applicants must be a charity registered with Charities Services, benefitting people within the Auckland region. The Foundation focuses on supporting applications where the project/programme is directly supporting/benefitting those who are terminally ill, improving quality of life for older people, and providing assistance and care for people suffering from illness. Preference will be given to applications for a “specific project or programme” as opposed to “general” running costs of the organisation.
Terms and Conditions
Only one application per organisation will be accepted in a grant round.
The Trustee’s decision is final.
Decisions regarding grants are made on the basis of information provided in the application forms, supporting material and other enquiries.
