The LW Nelson Agricultural Scholarship was established in 1958 by Northland farmer and businessman Laurence William Nelson. The Scholarship is managed and administered by Public Trust.
The Scholarship is offered to students who have career aspirations in the agricultural industry and are studying at an appropriate tertiary provider for a minimum period of three years.
All Scholarships are conditional on the applicant being enrolled at the education provider in a course of study as outlined in the application.
All successful applicants will be required to request scholarship continuation for year 2 and year 3 studies.
Applications are open to students attending one of the schools listed below and who meet the above criteria:
· Kamo High School
· Pompalier College
· Tikipunga High School
· Whangarei Boys' High School
· Whangarei Girls' High School.
· Huanui College
· Excellere College
Applications open from 15 September to 31 October annually. Please note this time frame may change from time to time.
