The Carterton District Trust Scholarship

History

The Carterton & Wairarapa South County Trust was established in a Trust Deed by settlor Ronald Philip Wakelin 1962. The Trust awards scholarships to students who either are or have at some time been resident within the Trust District for the purpose of assisting such students in their post-primary or university education or in continuing their studies. The Scholarship is managed and administered by Public Trust.

The Carterton District Trust Scholarships are open to students who meet the following criteria:

• Starting or have started their tertiary course of study within three years of leaving school.

• Currently or have at any time resided within the boundaries of the districts of Carterton and Wairarapa South.
