Thanks to everyone who joined the Public Trust Corporate Trustee Services (CTS) team for an engaging Cyber Smart Week webinar focused on lessons learned from the major CrowdStrike event.
In July this year, Windows systems around the world ground to a halt after a botched software update from security vendor CrowdStrike. It has been described by some as the largest IT outage in history. Financial losses have been estimated to be in the billions.
Hosted by David Callanan, General Manager, Corporate Trustee Services, the webinar explored how New Zealand companies managed the outage, and key things to be mindful of for future events.
In the webinar, we heard from guest speakers Andrew Horne, Partner, MinterEllisonRuddWatts, and Hamish Krebs, Executive Director of Global Digital Forensics and Incident Response, CyberCX.
